How innoVia helped a leading pharmaceutical client turn a powerful theme into a complete visual and production system — across a 120-foot ballroom, five LED screens, and every touchpoint in between.
Every year, leadership conferences carry the same quiet pressure: bring senior teams together, align them around a shared vision, and send them back out into the world with momentum. The theme is usually the first answer. The harder question comes next.
What does the theme actually look like?
For one global pharmaceutical client, the theme was “Force Multiplier”, a phrase that captured exactly what they wanted their leadership to embody. Bold. Purposeful. Amplified in effect. The challenge innoVia’s team faced was translating that energy into a complete event environment: one that could fill a 120-foot ballroom with five LED screens and still feel coherent on a printed badge.
The Challenge: Designing a Visual Language From a Concept
The client arrived with a strong theme and no visual identity. That’s not unusual, many of the most powerful event themes start as language, not imagery. What was unusual was the scale of what needed to be built.
The creative system had to work simultaneously across:
- Five LED screens spanning a 120-foot ballroom
- Walk-in animations and opening/closing videos
- PowerPoint presentation templates
- Printed banners, signage, badges, and agendas
- A cohesive logo lockup and tagline
That level of scale demands more than a good design, it demands a design system. Every visual element needed to feel like it belonged to the same world, even when scaled from an LED canvas to a 3-inch badge.
There was a second layer of complexity: the approval process. Many of the stakeholders involved in creative decisions were not designers. That meant visual options couldn’t simply look good, they had to be explainable. Each direction needed to connect back to the meaning of “Force Multiplier,” the goals of the conference, and the emotional tone the client wanted to create in the room.
The Approach: Creative Development as Stakeholder Alignment
innoVia approached the project as two parallel processes running simultaneously: creative development and stakeholder alignment.
Rather than presenting finished designs and waiting for approval, the team helped the client unpack what each visual direction was actually communicating. Early concepts explored ideas including space, energy, movement, depth, impact, and expansion, each one a lens through which “Force Multiplier” could be interpreted.
The process was deliberately iterative. Weekly creative reviews and additional working sessions gave stakeholders the time and language to articulate not just what they liked, but what they wanted the audience to feel. Each round helped narrow the meaning of the theme and clarify the emotional register the event needed to hit.
Throughout, the team kept returning to the same set of questions:
- Does this feel like force multiplication?
- Does it suggest momentum and breakthrough?
- Can it scale from a massive LED environment to a printed agenda?
- Can it support both intimate executive content and high-energy general session moments?
This approach turned the creative process into something more valuable than design review, it became a tool for aligning leadership teams around a shared vision before the event even began.
The Solution: Light, Shattered Glass, and a Visual Metaphor for Impact
The final creative direction centered on a burst of light shattering through glass.
The image was precise in its meaning. The light burst created a sense of breakthrough and acceleration. The shattered glass added dimension, movement, and visual drama. Together, they gave the theme a visual vocabulary that felt dynamic without becoming abstract, and that could be adapted across the full event environment without losing its integrity.
From that master creative direction, innoVia developed a complete package:
- Event logo lockup and tagline
- LED wall looks for the main stage environment
- Walk-in animations and opening/closing video sequences
- PowerPoint presentation backgrounds and templates
- Printed banners, stage signage, attendee badges, and agendas
Critically, the creative and production teams worked together throughout, not in sequence. The design was never created in isolation from the physical environment. Screen layouts, content flow, room dimensions, and show execution were all part of the creative conversation from the beginning. That integration is what allowed the final environment to feel unified rather than assembled.

The Results: A Conference With a Distinct Identity
The final event delivered a unified experience across both content and environment. “Force Multiplier” was no longer just a phrase, it was a complete visual system that shaped the room, supported the message, and gave the conference a distinct identity that attendees could feel from the moment they walked in.
The client’s response was immediate and direct. Members of the planning team thanked innoVia’s team from the mainstage and personally after the event, noting the strength of the room design, the quality of the creative elements, and the consistency of execution from pre-production through show delivery.
The creative direction was strong enough that the client is already looking ahead: they’re considering moving the conference to an international location next year and have asked innoVia to begin thinking about what that creative approach could look like in a new global setting.
